Employment Information

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain par stock for guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen, and uniforms.
  • Oversee daily servicing and cleaning of rooms and public areas to meet company and AAA 5 Diamond standards.
  • Supervise the cleaning of guest and staff restrooms, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Assist in completing attendance registers per company regulations.
  • Create duty rosters and manage staffing levels and changes.
  • Monitor guest feedback and suggest improvements for performance.
  • Assist with resolving guest complaints while upholding company standards.
  • Ensure sufficient supply of clean linen and inspect for necessary repairs.
  • Contribute to the development of effective housekeeping systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with AAA, 5 Diamond, and LQA housekeeping checklists.
  • Manage and motivate the Housekeeping team.
  • Assist in recruitment and conduct annual performance appraisals for staff.
  • Identify and assess training needs for department supervisors and staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a housekeeping management role or similar position.
  • Level 3 or above National Vocational Qualification in Housekeeping.
  • Knowledge of AAA, 5 Diamond, and LQA standards, as well as hotel operation standards.
  • Familiarity with safe product use and Occupational Safety and Health procedures.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping planning, administration, and inspection procedures.
  • Understanding of cleaning procedures.
