To ensure the efficient organization of goods within the Commissary and its containers while supporting the Commissary's operations in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. Additionally, the Commissary Assistant assists in the sale of goods to Seprod employees and other customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure goods are organized and stored in the Commissary in an orderly manner adhering to Food Safety standards.
- Process cash sales for customers and collect payments via cash or card.
- Check all goods being delivered to the Commissary and ensure only goods that are invoiced and properly packaged are accepted upon delivery.
- Ensure that records are maintained of any issues occurring in the Commissary daily.
- Ensure that the inventory is free from any contamination e.g. pests. Instances of any contamination are promptly recorded and reported to the Commissary Coordinator.
- Preparation of customer credit notes upon request with the assistance of the Commissary Coordinator.
- Provide the Commissary Coordinator with inventory orders on a weekly basis.
- Participate in stock count exercises as directed.
- Ensure the Commissary is cleaned on a weekly basis.
- Participate in Food Safety training programmes as directed by the Human Resource Manager.
- Undertake other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Four (4) CXC subjects, including Mathematics or Accounts
- Experience as a Cashier
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience
- Valid Food Handlers’ Permit
